What's a Christmas-Graham?!
Elf, anyone? I like to whisper too.
Anyways, today I've got a quick little treat that you can whip up in a hurry. I was inspired by the chocolate covered pretzels that they were selling in the store for $10!! WHAAT??? You could make them yourself for about $2. And such was my plan....except I got home and realized I forgot to buy the pretzels. Whoops!
I wasn't about to go back to the store, but I still really wanted to dip things in chocolate...so I dug around in the pantry and found a lonely package of chocolate graham crackers that didn't get used in our graham cracker house building party a couple weeks ago. Next I found some bakers chocolate squares and I knew I was good to go.
Here's all there is to it:
Melt the chocolate:
Cover the top of the graham. I started off putting it all the way in the chocolate:
But soon found it was easier to plop some chocolate on top and spread with a spoon, especially since I was only covering one side:
Place on wax paper and sprinkle with some red and green sprinkles!(or whatever color you have on hand)
Let the chocolate set until hardened:
At this point I tasted one and decided it was too chocolate-y for my liking (i'd probably use regular grahams next time) so I added some peanut butter. Flip each graham over, spread some peanut butter on the back and add a second graham to sandwich it in.
Voila! Your very own Christmas-Grahams!
And for today's Christmas card:
Enjoy!
